In The Death of A Salesman, Willy thinks he is one of the best salesmen there is. He talks to his boss about how he has brought so much money to the Company and how firing him would make the company worse because of all this money he brings in. In reality, Willy is a pretty poor salesman and does not sell many of the products therefore he does not make a lot of money for this company. His boss, Charley, tells Willy, "the only thing you got in this world is what you can sell." This statement could possibly mean many things, but I believe it means that you only live once and if you do not show the world who you are and the amazing talents you have, then no one will see you for who you are. This could relate to selling things by showing the client how amazing and useful the product is because with out this explanation they will never know the worth of it.
This can reflect America in both the 1940's and 2012. This relates to America in the 1940's because during this time America had a multitude of products and money since World War II was over. This statement shows that people would only purchase what a product if they thought it was amazing because it showed its worth to the customer. This statement also reflects America in 2012 because people buy things they are interested in and what looks good in advertisement. If a product is not well advertised then they do not want to spend their money on something that is not worth the price. Advertising something is the key to getting a customer to purchase they item you want to sell, but this will not happen if you do not show what it is worth.

Death of a Salesman Cast
If I could cast Death of a Salesman as a movie I would choose Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron, George Clooney, and Kris Jenner.
George Clooney would play the part of Willy Loman. He is an old salesman who is not very successful. He goes crazy because he wants his sons to follow in his footsteps but will not accept the fact that they have both failed him. George Clooney could play this part because he is older and kind of crazy.
Kris Jenner would be cast as the part of Linda Loman. She is a very motherly figure and only wants her family to be whole. She tries to make peace between her husband and her two sons since they fight constantly. Kris Jenner would be good at this part because she is motherly and an older woman.
Robert Pattinson would be cast as the part of Biff Loman. Biff was very successful in high school but failed because he discovered his father had an affair. Because he discovered this, his views of his father have changed and they no longer get along. He is now struggling to find out who he is and what he wants to do with his life. Robert Pattinson could play this because he young and successful but is trying to discover his purpose.
Zac Efron would be cast as the part of Happy Loman. Happy is the youngest son and always under his brother Biff. He is portrayed as a successful person who lives in New York, but he is only successful because he sleeps around with women. This is his idea of success and thinks he is on the right track of his life. Zac Efron would be good for this because he is young and good looking.

The American Dream
The American Dream started in the Industrial Revolution when the country started to earn more money. Once the whole country started to get use to having all of this money, the immigrants established the idea that America equals money. Every person who came to the country saw the "American Dream" as being rich and successful because all of the people seen in America have the aspects. This same dream has been aspired for since the mid 1900's and is still aspired for in today's society. Every American has a dream they want to fulfill in life, and they base it off of the principle of money, fame, and success.

Pickle Hose!
Every year my family goes to Perry, Ga for the Perry fair. It is usually only my grandparents, my sisters, and my three cousins, but this one year my aunt and uncle came with their baby. We all enjoy eating the delicious fair food like funnel cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, boiled peanuts, corn dogs, fried cookie dough, and pickles. My cousins and youngest sister LOVE pickles so of course as a snack they ask if they can have one. Well these pickles were the huge whole pickle and three little girls cant really eat all of this huge pickle, so my uncle then decides to eat whatever they decide they don't. My sister decides she is finished when she has eaten about half of it. Once he takes a bite off the end of this half whole pickle, the pickle juice squirts out from the other end all over my sister. It was honestly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Everyone is laughing and having a good time and he does it again with another pickle so we all die laughing once again. My family always has good laughs when we are together especially when we are having fun like this. I will always remember to not bite out of one end of a pickle when the other end is obviously eaten from.

Delicious Roast Beef :)
One day my mom decides to go all out and make my families favorite meal: roast. Each member of my family is picky and has their own favorite things, but this one meal overcomes any dislike. This meal consists of roast, gravy, rice, english peas, and some sort of bread. The roast most likely came from a farm where cows are raised and fed different unnatural things and butchered for our enjoyment. This is a very sad fact but true since most meat is made this way. The gravy was made from the fat of the roast which was the cow that was slaughtered obviously. The rice was minute rice so it probably was not home grown or natural, just really easy and fast cooking rice. The english peas were manufactured and sent to the big department store known as Walmart so nothing special about those peas. The bread is usually biscuits or rolls which are usually not homemade but frozen or packaged, but if homemade the dough of the biscuits would have wheat and flour that was ground up to create flaky and delicious biscuits.
